Your Neighbor Contractor in Jurupa Valley
Jurupa Valley sits right next to our Riverside home base, making it one of our most accessible service areas. Incorporated in 2011, this sprawling community stretches from the Rubidoux neighborhood near the Santa Ana River westward through the Pedley area and into the hillside properties of the Jurupa Hills. BPP Construction has been building wood structures for homeowners throughout this area long before it became its own city, and we know its neighborhoods, soil conditions, and building requirements intimately.
Jurupa Valley’s mix of established homes in Rubidoux and Pedley with newer developments along Van Buren Boulevard means we handle both new construction and repair projects regularly. Older homes in the Camino Real neighborhood and along Mission Boulevard often need structural wood replacement, exterior repair, and balcony restoration. Newer properties along the Limonite Avenue corridor and near the 15 freeway are adding patio covers, decks, and pergolas to customize their outdoor spaces.
The proximity means shorter travel time, quicker response to your calls, and Ben’s ability to check on your project more frequently during construction. Jurupa Valley homeowners get the full benefit of having a trusted contractor practically next door. Call (909) 227-4193 for a free on-site quote, we can often be there the same day.

What We See on Jurupa Valley Properties
A lot of Jurupa Valley grew up around dairies and small ranches long before it became a city in 2011, and that history still shows in the housing. Rubidoux, Pedley, and Mira Loma carry a stock of older homes on larger lots, and a fair share of them were added onto over the decades by previous owners or handymen working without a permit. When we open up a tired patio cover or a sagging balcony out here, it is not unusual to find undersized posts, a ledger lag-bolted into stucco with nothing behind it, or a beam that was never sized for the span it is carrying. Ben’s first job on those properties is to read what is actually holding the structure up before he quotes the fix, because the honest repair sometimes means rebuilding more than the homeowner expected and sometimes means a lot less.
The ground itself varies more in Jurupa Valley than in most of our service area. Properties down near the Santa Ana River bottom in Rubidoux sit on looser, sandier, sometimes imported fill, while the lots climbing into the Jurupa Hills are on firmer native soil with rock close to the surface. Those are two different footing problems, and we do not pretend they are the same. Ben checks the soil at the actual post locations, sizes the footings for what he finds, and on the river-bottom lots pays particular attention to drainage so a wet winter does not soften the ground out from under a new cover.
Because we are based right next door in Riverside, all of this happens fast. Most Jurupa Valley addresses are inside ten minutes of the shop, so Ben can often walk a property the same day you call, and he is back for every footing and framing inspection through the Riverside County Building Department. Call (909) 227-4193 and we will set up the visit.
Jurupa Valley Wood Construction FAQ
How close is BPP Construction to Jurupa Valley?
BPP Construction is based in Riverside, directly adjacent to Jurupa Valley. Most Jurupa Valley addresses are within 10 minutes of our shop. This proximity means faster response times, same-day quotes when available, and the ability for Ben to visit your project site frequently during construction.
Do older Jurupa Valley homes need permits for wood repairs?
It depends on the scope of work. Minor cosmetic repairs typically do not require permits, but structural wood replacement, beams, joists, load-bearing members, usually does. BPP Construction evaluates every project and pulls permits whenever required. Our familiarity with Riverside County building requirements ensures compliance from the start.
What areas of Jurupa Valley does BPP Construction serve?
We serve all Jurupa Valley communities including Rubidoux, Pedley, Mira Loma, the Camino Real neighborhood, the properties along Van Buren Boulevard, Mission Boulevard, and Limonite Avenue, and every residential area within city limits. We also know the Jurupa Hills area well for properties with slope considerations.
How long does a patio cover take to build in Jurupa Valley?
Most patio cover projects take two to three weeks from permit approval to final inspection. Our proximity to Jurupa Valley often means slightly faster project completion since travel time is minimal. BPP Construction provides a detailed timeline during your free on-site consultation. Call (909) 227-4193 to schedule.
Can BPP help resolve code violations on older Jurupa Valley properties?
Absolutely. Many older homes in Rubidoux, Pedley, and the established neighborhoods of Jurupa Valley have structures that predate current code requirements or were built without permits. BPP Construction assesses the existing conditions, determines what is needed for compliance, and works with county building officials to bring your property into good standing. Contact us to discuss your situation.
My Rubidoux home has an old add-on built without a permit. Can you fix it?
We see this often in Jurupa Valley, where a lot of older homes were added onto before the city even existed. Ben evaluates whether the existing structure can be brought up to code with reinforcement or whether it needs to come down and be rebuilt right. Either way, we can pull a retroactive permit through Riverside County and get the work inspected so the addition is legal and documented, which matters when you sell or refinance.
